Well, here is my team in all of its glory. 10-team, 5x5 (OBP instead of R, K/9 instead of K). I think I am missing one starter and will likely be hurting in wins. As regular listeners to the podcast know, I am a fan of the middle reliever (especially in a league with K/9 instead of K as a category), and I drafted accordingly.

All in all, I like the balance of this team, and I think I have drafted a top 3 winner again.

1B Derrek Lee
2B Placido Polanco
SS Jose Reyes
3B Miguel Cabrera
MI Khalil Greene
CI Hank Blalock
C Ramon Hernandez
C J.R. Towles
OF Matt Holliday
OF Ichiro
OF Hunter Pence
OF Raul Ibanez
OF Jay Bruce
DH Gary Sheffield
BN Kelly Johnson
BN Kevin Kouzmanoff
BN Juan Rivera
BN Rocco Baldelli
BN Joey Votto
BN Johnny Estrada
BN Barry Bonds

P Aaron Harang
P C.C. Sabathia
P Trevor Hoffman
P Tim Lincecum
P Huston Street
P Heath Bell
P Rafael Soriano
P A.J. Burnett
BN Adam Wainwright
BN Scot Shields
BN Pat Neshek
BN Franklin Morales

Thoughts? Suggestions? I love this team.

I like this team very much. Excellent combo of speed and power although I'm concerned about your OF with Bruce a question and Rivera searching for playing time. You say you are short a starter but, I am very high on Wainwright. You should be better than you think, especially with Burnett in a walk year. I also like Kelly Johnson and Kouzmanoff to shine and give you some trade options. Good Luck.

Thanks, good Doctor!

You are exactly right about my OF situation. I need to figure out what to do here... it was a mistake in drafting in that I should have certainly expected Bruce to get the "Ryan Braun/Evan Longoria" treatment.

The problem: do I dump Rivera or Bonds (I like the potential for both -- Bonds just HAS to find a team). For instance, Texas. Catalanotto or Bonds for DH? Hmmmmmm....

I agree with the assessment, but I'd be dumping Rocco Baldelli. No telling if he is going to make it back with his medical condition. Given recent past performance, I'd rather have Bonds if he came back. Is Kelly Johnson OF-eligible? Maybe struggle through there for a while or pounce on, say, an Emil Brown.

Right now, Jose Reyes is leading my team in RBI.

Oh boy, this was a painful week!

Yeah...teams are more concerned with the steroids issue then his stats.

About the team, its good, plenty of steals with Ichiro and Reyes, plenty of power and average with Lee, Miguel and Holliday. I really like Blalock this year also. Some of your bench spots I can see you replacing, but also I don't know who is a free agent in the league. Also, I heard on the podcast you got rid of Baldelli. I forgot, who'd you pick up?

Carlos Gomez was on the waiver wire, so I grabbed him in place of Baldelli. Being as Reyes and Ichiro just aren't running yet, I had to do something.

I'm sitting with 27 points, about 20 down from the 9th place team.

Frustrating.

Yeah, that must be annoying.

Nice pick up for Gomez though...he'll help a ton.
